Z15 - Private Residential Building Block

The project is located in the Area of Dasoupolis in Nicosia within the borders of the Commercial Area, surrounded by a variety of Office Spaces and local retail shops.
The project consists of six-, three- and four-bedroom apartments on three different floor levels with private parking and garden on the ground floor.
The proposed building facing west consists of two specially design facades located on the west and east side of the building.
The two facades are designed specifically as filtering tools, reconfiguring the buildings programmatic and special qualities, dispensing intense light and noise, allowing for natural air flow, providing specific views towards the surrounding areas.
The unique facades are designed using a combination of several translucent polycarbonate materials that transform at nighttime in an illuminating beacon of light, projecting into the surrounding area.
The two tectonic plates facing north and south provide privacy from the external bizzy neighbourhood.
