Private Mountain Residences
Platres, Limassol
The proposal introduces six private individual Residences, embedded skillfully within the complex multilayer topography of the steep mountain site.
Accessibility is made possible by providing direct access into the site from the highest road level, allowing the overall proposal to be designed so as to provide uninterrupted, panoramic views throughout the surroundings and the broader area.
The external tectonic plates of the proposed houses interconnect with the existing morphology, “inviting” the local dense plantation to insert and reconfigure the internal – external boundaries of the overall proposal, re-impositioning and enhancing the programmatic and spatial qualities of the design.
The use of “primitive” natural local materials such as stone, solid wood and metal, in dialogue with the dynamic “geometric” architectural features made out of embossed concrete, provide for a unique architectural experience throughout, were User and Nature coexist in harmony.
